Mineira cabbage recipe

The mineira cabbage is an essential accompaniment to your feijoada and an excellent extra in the São Paulo style. At Specialfood we teach you how to make this sauteed kale recipe in a very simple way, you will never forget it! Check below the ingredients and step by step of the cabbage the way and try it!

Ingredients for making Kale mineira:

 3 bunches of cabbage

 250 grams of bacon

 3 cloves of garlic

1 tablespoon of olive oil (optional)

 salt

How to make Kale mineira:

The first step of this mineira cabbage recipe is to wash the cabbage leaves, roll them and cut them into thin strips, as shown in the picture.

Chop the bacon into small pieces and place over medium heat in a pan. If the bacon has a lot of fat, it won't be necessary to add the oil as it will fry in the fat itself.

When the bacon turns golden, add the rolled garlic cloves and fry a little, not browning. Add the cabbage and a little salt.

Braised minera kale cooks very quickly, so cook a few portions at a time and remove when crispy. Serve immediately with bacon and garlic, as an accompaniment to any meal, especially feijoada. Enjoy your food!
